Breaking: European Union Opens Borders To Vaccinated Americans

Europe Reopens Its Borders

After being closed for more than a year, the European Union is finally set to open its borders to American travelers who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 this summer, the New York Times reported Sunday.

The Americans, as far as I can see, use European Medicines Agency-approved vaccines," von der Leyen said. "This will enable free movement and travel to the European Union." The three vaccines which will let get Americans entry to EU are the Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson shots.

All adults in the US are now eligible to receive the vaccine if they desire. A vaccine for children under the age of 16 has not been approved, but trials and regulatory review are ongoing.
