Starting August 1st, visitors can avoid mandatory 14-day quarantine in Hawaii if they present negative test for coronavirus which was issued no more than 72 hours before the departure. Visitors can still be subject to health screening questions and temperature check.
They also must fill out a form with details showing travel plans while visiting Hawaii. So, passengers may be sent to a secondary screening before being allowed to check into their hotel or vacation rental.
The state is discussing partnership with the companies like CVS Pharmacy to accept pre-arrival tests available in their stores around the US mainland.
