Jamaica has announced it will open its borders to ALL international tourists on June 15.
Unlike some countries, Jamaica is not restricting incoming travelers from any particular countries. Starting June 15, Jamaica will be accepting tourists coming from any origin.
Jamaica Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett announced the decision in a letter from the Ministry of Tourism to stakeholders.
Bartlett presented a 100 page document full of protocols to protect both workers and tourists. He described it as “perhaps, the most rigorous set of protocols that could be available anywhere in the world to protect, not just the workers… but the whole country.”
Southwest and Delta Airlines are scheduled to resume flights to Montego Bay in late June-early July.
While many hotels are preparing to reopen, some resorts have made an announcements to reopen by July 1. Here is the list:
Sunset at the Palms Negril
Sandals, Montego Bay
Hilton Rose Hall, Montego Bay
Moon Palace, Ocho Rios
Iberostar Grand Rose Hall, Montego Bay
